I managed to spend the morning making my work area in the house. I made sure I had a certain area to start this wondrous dev journey

Today’s Objectives:

• Document any defeating thoughts.
• Work on completing roadmap for frontend.
• Work on a process of project deployment.
  • I know is sounds super nerdy, but I want to recreate the whole aspect of development, even if it’s something simple like a WordPress theme. I want to go through the proper ways of deployment so I understand it fully.
  • Really confused on CI/CD stuff but i’m sure once i get to that point and read more I’ll understand it.

I might be high, but could I possibly make a web app that help me study…? I mean that’s like one of those chicken before the egg things or vise versa. lol.. legit had to reread what i said because I got too high.

Okay, my mind is really stuck on this. So what if instead of quiz based learning it’s more based on research. Okay, I’m not making sense.. I need to get my bong to sober up.

This is what i’ll do, i’ll complete my first project. Document my experience of it and use that as data to see if it worked… ? That’s shitty data sources heh but whatever.

So my first project gonna be a home management type of thing that i’ll run locally. I will make it for my household and this gives me more creative opportunities to explore. I can make a project management system from there. I would have to do so much duct taping for wordpress it’s not worth the headache.

I know i’m putting more work on myself but it’s the only way my mind can understand it. I know if I put this project information into here i would have to custom make something or I’d have to do something like show this tag only. Which I wouldn’t forget the naming and mess it up.

So let’s hard mode it for the easy mode later on. 

I totally wanted to quote myself saying this so I can work on the CSS file to use this as an example heh

I do want to work on my WordPress theme cause it’s complete ass. But I also want to do this my way and the way I feel motivated to do. (more…)

Wasn’t really able to do update this dev log for the day. My first one actually. Ive been working on getting this template up and running. It’s not complete but I want to have a process of when i upload it.

My Objective

I don’t want to recreate the wheel, there are many great resources out there that have great roadmaps and such. I just need it laid out for my type of brain and how I like to study. I don’t plan to leave full tutorials but mostly what I did and results type of thing. Lot of it for documentation and notes of what i do.

I want to ultimately leave my notes open for anyone else to read or look at, hopes it helps them in their journey. If any resource I link breaks or goes 404, i’ll do my best to update and catch them.
